45 KDF

This is the first KDF and oldest VW that I have worked on. It was interesting to see differences in this compared to the later beetles.

The plan is to get some wiring issues straight, clean and coat the inside of the fuel tank. Also lower the rear to get some of the positive camber out. While we were checking out the car we noticed that someone bent a pushrod tube prior to installing the engine so we pulled the engine to replace the tube.

1945 KDF based on a Kubel chassis. Raised suspension with RGBs in the rear.
